Veteran Dave Butler shares his memories of BFBS in Germany saying ' it kept the wives happy' 
As BFBS celebrates it's 75 Anniversary Royal Dragoon Guards Veteran Dave Butler recalls the moment the BFBS TV pilon was built in Osnabrück, Germany. He said: "then the test card appeared on our televisions. And wow, we spent hours looking at that and then suddenly the wives could watch Coronation Street and East Enders and it just let us guys we had to go and do whatever we wanted and the wives were completely happy"

Penny Mordaunt has been speaking during her visit to Salisbury for the Armed Forces Day national event.
The Defence Secretary has praised Salisbury for its response to a nerve agent attack last year. Penny Mordaunt was visiting the city as it hosted the Armed Forces Day 2019 national event. On Friday, the Prime Minister condemned the Salisbury Novichok incident as a "truly despicable act" when she met Russian president Vladimir Putin.
